By default, everything you put into Sympnote stays on your phone. This includes:
This data lives in encrypted local storage on your device. We do not have a copy of it on our servers.
Sympnote uses two third-party AI services to organize what you record:
This processing happens only when you take an action that requires it: saving a recording, generating a brief, or re-running extraction on an existing note. Before any of this happens for the first time, Sympnote shows a dedicated in-app consent screen that names both providers and lists exactly what is sent. You can revisit the disclosure anytime in Settings → Privacy & data → AI data sharing.
