Getting Started
How do I add my first medication?
Tap the Medications tab at the bottom, then tap the + button in the top right. You have two options:
- Voice (Premium) — Tap the microphone and speak naturally, e.g. "Metformin 500 milligrams twice daily with meals". The AI parses the name, dose, frequency, and timing automatically.
- Manual — Fill in the name, dose, frequency (once daily, twice daily, etc.), times, and any special instructions.
How do reminders work?
At each scheduled time, you'll receive a push notification. From the notification you can:
- Tap Take — logs the dose as taken
- Tap Skip — logs it as skipped (useful if you decided not to take it that time)
- Tap Snooze 15m — re-fires the reminder in 15 minutes
All three actions also work from inside the app on the Today tab.
I don't see reminders. What should I check?
- Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → MediRemind → make sure Notifications are On and Sounds/Banners are enabled.
- In MediRemind, go to Me → Preferences and toggle Notifications on.
- Make sure each medication has a time set. Without a time, no reminder is scheduled.
- iOS Focus modes (Sleep, Do Not Disturb, Work, etc.) can silence notifications — consider adding MediRemind to your Allowed Apps list inside the Focus settings.
